Jeff Feldman successfully defended an Orange County gynecologist in a case involving placement of a bladder sling for stress incontinence. The 42-year-old plaintiff claimed that our client negligently placed a TVT-O sling, which resulted in a pudendal nerve injury. Through the use of anatomic drawings created for the trial and expert testimony, Jeff was able to demonstrate that the main root of the pudendal nerve was not near the sling placement and nor were the many nerve roots that would account for the patient’s rectal, vaginal and urinary issues. Our expert explained that plaintiff suffered from pelvic floor dysfunction as a result of low back disc issues, a hysterectomy and long-standing constipation. The jury unanimously found in our client’s favor.
