Steve, attorney:
“The Hunt for Red October” by Tom Clancy
“The Clan of the Cave Bear” by Jean M. Auel
Jeanne, scheduling coordinator:
“The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kid
“Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate
“The Tattooist of Auschwitz” by Heather Morris
“Catch and Kill” by Ronan Farrow
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho
“Everything I Never Told You” by Celeste Ng
“I’m a huge fan of outdoor reading and my season has finally arrived! I get lost sitting on the porch and will just finish a book that day. I find myself drawn to historical fiction books – made up stories with real events intertwined. Currently reading “Pretty Things” by Janelle Brown and next up is “People We Meet on Vacation” by Emily Henry.”
MJ, legal assistant:
The Bible
Jo-Ann, paralegal:
“Guess How Much I Love You” by Sam McBratney (Author), Anita Jeram (Illustrator)
“I have many favorite books, however, the book that has given me the most joy throughout my adult life as a mom through this day is this one. My almost 16 and 18-year-olds and I, still, every once in a while, will play around and say how “we love each other to the moon and back, etc.” It brings me back to when they were little and how I would read it almost every night to them… time goes way too fast.”
Bain, attorney:
“How to Stop Worrying and Start Living” by Dale Carnegie
Stephanie, billing supervisor:
“Educated” by Tara Westover
“Maybe In Another Life” by Taylor Jenkins Reid
“The Shack” by William Paul Young
“The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman
“The Giver” by Lois Lowry
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
The “Twilight Saga” by Stephanie Meyer
“One Tuesday Morning” by Karen Kingsbury
Bill, attorney:
“The Greatest Generation” by Tom Brokaw
“I have always had a great fascination with and interest in learning about World War II (WWII), particularly about the great Americans who came together as one to defeat the greatest threats to freedom our country and others have faced in modern history. Brokaw’s book lets me vicariously live the experiences through the stories told by the brave Americans who showed the courage, intestinal fortitude and love for God, family and the U.S.A. to stand up to the imperialist and Nazi threats. I think the book is a good history lesson and a lesson about true sacrifice that all should read, particularly with the climate in so many arenas that we live in today.”
