Our client, a 31 year old female, was a passenger in the defendant’s car. The car struck a fire hydrant and our client, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown forward into the windshield. She suffered a nasal fracture and facial lacerations resulting in some scarring. Although the insurance carrier argued she would not have been hurt had she been seat-belted, the case settled for full policy limits after we filed the lawsuit.
