Our team at Feldman, Kleidman, Coffey & Sappe, LLP (FKC&S) would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving. This has been a challenging year, but as members of our staff point out in the Q&A below, there is still much to be thankful for.
What are you most thankful for this year?
The health of friends, family, business partners and employees in the midst of this pandemic. – Robert, Partner
I’m most thankful for the little things. During this pandemic, it would be easy to pick out all the negatives, but spending more time with my kids, being able to work from home and really enjoying our house has meant a lot to me and made 2020 brighter. – Stephanie, Billing Supervisor
More quality time with my family. – Katherine, Legal Assistant
For the health and well-being of my family, including my 91-year-old parents, our kids and our four grandchildren, and the manner in which our FKC&S team has pulled together this year and worked so hard to fulfill our obligations to our clients. – Jeff, Partner
I am most thankful to be healthy during these scary times. – Jessica, Administrative Assistant
I am thankful for Zoom and being able to stay connected with family and friends. These past few months to see faces filled with laughter is better than just hearing it. – Jeanne, Scheduling Coordinator
I am thankful for my family and friends. – Jo-Ann, Paralegal
As always, I’m most thankful for my health, my husband and my job. – MJ, Legal Assistant
I am thankful for my wife and children, who, despite the challenges posed by the epidemic, particularly having to stay home (with me), and refrain from going to gatherings, restaurants, movies, sporting events, etc.), have not killed me or each other. The children have been very understanding about the situation and have accepted what has to be done in an effort to keep us all safe, despite the toll it must be taking on them to not be able to socialize with their friends or doing so very infrequently under strict precautions. – Bill, Attorney
Employment and family’s good health. – Terry, Attorney
Family and health. – Janet, Legal Assistant
Since I want to avoid politics, the news that a highly effective vaccine may be here relatively soon. – Wayne, Attorney
Staying healthy. – Liz, Paralegal
What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Getting together with my sister in Penna (which we won’t be doing this year). – Terry, Attorney
Making my Grandmother’s traditional Thanksgiving dinner and watching “The March of the Wooden Soldiers.” – Bill, Attorney
Four days of Thanksgiving in VT with the whole family together for four to five days, all of the cooking, games, laughter and good-natured ribbing. – Jeff, Partner
Watching the parade while reading the Black Friday ads with my kid. – Liz, Paralegal
Splitting the wishbone. – Janet, Legal Assistant
Relaxing, eating and drinking wine. – Katherine, Legal Assistant
Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. – Jeanne, Scheduling Coordinator
Putting up Christmas lights. – Robert, Partner
One of my favorite traditions is making a nice breakfast for my family and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on T.V. – Jo-Ann, Paralegal
Staying home all day in my pajamas, watching the parade, “March of the Wooden Soldiers” and the Dog Show (and eating and drinking, of course)! – MJ, Legal Assistant
Seeing the whole family come together. – Jessica, Administrative Assistant
Running a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. – Wayne, Attorney
I have a few… the first being our thankful pumpkin. Every year, we pick out a pumpkin and put it as the centerpiece to our Thanksgiving table. Each day, starting in November, each of us writes on the pumpkin something we are thankful for. The second tradition would be watching the Macy’s Day Parade and waiting until Santa comes down… even though my kids don’t believe anymore, once Santa arrives on the scene, they know the magic of Christmas begins, as he brings in the season. – Stephanie, Billing Supervisor
What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Mashed potatoes and gravy! – Stephanie, Billing Supervisor
Stuffing. – Liz, Paralegal
The turkey I make of course! – Jeff, Partner
