Jeff Feldman successfully defended a local general surgeon in a Dutchess County wrongful death action. Plaintiff claimed that our client negligently failed to treat a pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis (clot in patient’s calf) upon the patients readmission to Vassar Brothers Hospital. Through our experts, we were able to prove that the pulmonary embolism occurred seconds before the patients death, not hours earlier as plaintiff’s expert claimed. In addition, the clot in the calf was not present at the time that our client saw the patient.
