Robert Sappe successfully defended a gastroenterologist from Rockland County against a claim of wrongful death made by the Estate of a New York State Assemblyman. The family of the deceased politician claimed that the physician negligently failed to diagnose liver cancer and deprived the decedent of a chance for cure. A Putnam County jury exonerated the physician on all counts of negligence.
